Just promote your v2 with an alpha to the 3D DVE and keyframe as you wish. It will alony affectthe necklace. You’ll get better results from After Effects though as AE doesn’t alias everything liek Avid’s DVE does.

It’s safe to say if you shoot a 12 hour event, you’ll have more than 3 hours of footage to sift through. I log nothing. I bring it all in so I know what I have to choose from. Same with all nonscripted content. Sometimes your life saving string together shot wasn’t a shot at all.

Skip the on camera light. It makes everything flat. Crusie over to Ace hardware and spend 20 bucks ona dimmable head band LED kit. Looks goofy as hell but you can change the color temp on it, and, should you ever get the squint from whomever yuo are shooting, it’s as easy as looking away a bit withut having to reframe the camera. All in all, it allows you to light from an angle rather than making everything flat like a sungun in 1983.

As with all freelance day rates, you’ll base it on a ten hour day. What you do in those hours has nothing to do with your rate, online, offline, animation, even dubbage. It’s up to them to fill in the slots that need to be filled. That said, day rates just are not the norm. If requested, by all means, respond with one but hourly rates are the norm because they are easy and fair for both parties.

I remember my mom watching credits and telling me about seeing my name in the mid 90s but outside of that, man, I just can’t remember cedits coming into play. I’ve never cared. Surely not enough to let affect my bottom line. My job has always been to make shows and type other people’s name at the end. -
Today, authenticity is often a sought after look. It really dpends on the application how we go about our jobs. I can tell you, more than half the time, I shoot with existing light utilizing the camera mic. It’s not because I’m too lazy to plug in three lights and clip a lav, it’s because I’m responding to what the client wants. The word “viral” to many clients means making it look like a home movie. So be it. Insisting on unwanted production value quite often will result in losing the gig today. That’s the truth.

I say buy your own. Reducing your rate to union wages then paying dues on top of that is hardly a solution, imo.

I like to see capabilities and rates. I also like to see personality in the email. Templated resumes get deleted here. If someone wastes my time telling me their objective, I lose all intrest. I know their objective. They sent me an email looking for a gig.
