    two ways to do it:
    1. enter trim mode at the end of your clip and type 30 enter. This’ll make it one second longer, eating into the next clip. You can then lasso that clip from right to left, entering slip mode. hit a -30 and it otta be ending exactly where ya want it.
    2. enter effect mode over that clip and drag the motion effect to a bin. Reoverite that clip with a new in point then repply the effect.

Ya can’t drag the out pint of a clip with a motino warp but you can trim it with a numeric value. So like if you slow it down to 50% with fluid motion, you can enter trim mode and hit 30 to make it a second longer.
To ‘keyframe’ with motion effects, set an in and out point in your source window and speed it up to 1000 percent of whatever ya like. overrite it in. Then on your out point of your source monitor, make an in point. Lay that new clip at reel time speed from there. Looks perty cool. Very survivor when mixed with some sapphire glows.

that’s been every Avid editor’s question for the last 11 years when the 3D DVE was introduced. What up with the aliasing? It’ll be fixed in the next release is the most common answer. Now that plugins offer DVE capabilities, we see it’s not their DVE. When things went 10 bit we saw that wasn’t it either. I don’t know why it still does it after all this time. I do know why the big isn’t the industry standard anymore tho.
Other companies grow their products by leaps and bounds while Avid takes staps backwards. What is an upgrade for other products in the form of new releases are attempts at bug fixes in the Avid world now.
Something changed with the company and it aint for the better, man.

I use to think it was the card. Then 8 bit vs 10 bit. Now, it all points to their code.
I had just grown use to keeping AE and photoshop open in all sessions because of this. Now that their apps are software-driven, ram gets all fussy. This, along with the new bugs results in Adrenaline being a major downgrade from the old meridien-based products.
    at least for me.

It’s a cruel joke from Tewksberry, man. I ‘magine some fat dude in a tie up there laughs about this at night while his stock in apple goes up.
It’s hard to do much Adrenaline’s DVE and retain any kind of quality, I’m afraid.
don’t hate the playa. I didn’t make it. I just cuss it.

you can alt/drag effects to nest em (or stack em). You don’t have to in this case. Just promote the effect editor to the 3D DVE and you can scale it up. It’ll look pretty nappy. Prolly have better luck scaling it up in AE.

Ihave never had luck with any reformat effect. A resize effect may work better for you. 77% scale on the horizontal otta do ya better. I have noticed even the letter box is aliased with reformat.

just change the attributes till ya get the look you want. It’s default is a bit harsh but with just a little tweeking, it really is the perfect tool for this. I usually animate the scan lines just a little bit.

Just keeps the video as it otta be. Stands for high quality. Turning it off will alow you to play through more unrendered effects but will often make the client yel “what up!?”
