I disaree with nothing you said, Michael. Very objective and spot on.
My point is FCP’s upgrades are typicly upgrades while Avid has downgraded their product line on us, trying to force us to buy the one they didn’t write at all. They call their attempts at bug fixes upgrades now. By this, I think most of us would rather grow with a company/product rather than battle one.

960 x 533 squareyou can take yer pick. They are the same. Like, 720X486 s 720X540 square. Not sure why square came into play. Kinda like non drop frame tc. It’s just there to mae folks scratch their melon.

books on what looks good have always been odd to me.
I’m not much of a rader but if ya do a quick search for typography books I’m sure you’ll find many dudes who will tell ya how they’d do it. I’ll tell ya to step back and make it look nice. Each project has it’s own ersonality and your typograpy will always follow and/or enhance that personality. A book can’t tell ya what flavor to apply. It’ll talk about font selection, sizes and kerning. Stuff you could do quicker by doing it than by reading about it. It’s subjective. Such is art. -
I had no idea there were definitions for these things. I’m a little more laid back on the phone. I’m all like “so, do I put that in ink or pencil?” they get it.

I’ve not heard the laundry list from final cut pro users of things advertised that are not the case. I’ve built my own with Adrenaline. First hand experience is all I can really trust.

considering how well FCP works with it, I’d call it a mistake.
You’ll pay more, have less capabilities and more bugs than with FCP. -
