    Hey,

I’m working on an animated graphic in adobe’s Flash, and need to deliver a 16:9 Widescreen presentation (AKA 16:9 Full Height Anamorphic (FHA) ). It will air on the BBC.
I want to make sure that what I draw in flash looks correct when broadcast.

I’m worried about the whole square vs. non-square pixel thing.

In my searches I’ve found a lot of conflicting info about which dimensions I should create my artwork in?

    853 x 486 ?
    960 x 533 ?

Then I would assume that “16:9 Full Height Anamorphic widescreen” is 720 x 486.
Meaning I would use the “CCIR 601 NTSC (40:27)” setting in Final Cut Pro, with the “Anamorphic 16:9” box selected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

I love all you guys, girls and martians

    853 x 486 non square
    960 x 533 square

you can take yer pick. They are the same. Like, 720X486 s 720X540 square. Not sure why square came into play. Kinda like non drop frame tc. It’s just there to mae folks scratch their melon.
