delete all your decks then add your deck with it’s proper input. If you let it auto configure it will see it as a generic DV device.

College is in no way a requirement in this field. I’m not tlaking you out of going because I thik all young people should if they can. Just saying you can get a leg up on others your age by honing your skills now and building the reel that will land you a job… that will lead to bigger better ones.
Sounds like you already have after effects. If so, start doing online tutorials right now. Push yourself and branch away from you anytime you feel comfy, inserting your own elements, not the tutorial’s elements. Create tasks for yourself and figure out ways to get there.
This is not a field that a degree will help or hurt you in. It’s not something looked at when hiring.. your reel is. -
naa don’t add points on em. Just ensure there is always a natural point you can track. Like, don’t be counting on tracking the eye if they are blinking or turning theur head… use a button on their jacket type of thing. You can accentuate this point as you shoot but if you make an obvious X or something like that, you are just creating roto hell for yourself.
No probs with the nadheld. They’ll be qick and you’ll find trackable points no problemo. You can keyframe as needed if you have to too so as long as they are used in quick cuts like this example, you’ll have no worries. -
Kevin, I have a nice Sony broadcast NTSC monitor (HR Trinitron PVM20L2) I’ll give ya ultra freakin cheap. It’s heavy as all get up so shipping won’t be cheap. I am way limited for space in my lil closet and I drive by my external scopes anyway. I just need a little 19″ flat screen in there, really.
This beast was thousands back in the day but you can have it for 450 bucks plus shipping.

You are right on all points. When reaility became scripted, it lost all flair.
I pitch a first person actuality in the name of rebirthing what feels like reality. man, it’s powerful now that reality is not reality and the more big productions make this worse, the more I have to offer and sell. I like that.
The talk went very well. We liked each other and that’s the key to success if ya break everything else down. Once that is done, it’s just a matter of details most of the time… or should be.
