You will have no problem going to and from other programs. Not quite as seemless project-wise as premiere to and from AE but it’s as easy as exporting a quicktime reference file and bringing a quicktime back in.

  • If you can export the file to other programs and hear it/see it, you are problem in the wrong audio settings. 48k vs 44.1

Lets bring this thread back. As more and more places adhere to reality due to budget decreases, more and more work flows are introduced. I like actual reality. Non-scripted. That’s what reality is to me. Today there is very little of that. The last “reality” show I worked on had a crew of a half dozen, having the shop they were shooting at do it over and over. Then I edited together what was there, then wrote to it to make it make sense, then they went out and reshot a lot. Doing it this way, we could just go back to how it use to be, write something ideal, go shoot that, then put it together under budget.
The reason I love editing non scripted programming is I get to tell the story in post. And that makes my job the most creative in the entire process.

Man I hate to sound like tech support insulting you but I’d uninstall and reinstall. As long as you have proper processing proper there should be no hick ups and Dynamic Link should be rockin no matter.
I’m surprised they’ve not been more help. They’re pretty cool. How many seats and I assume you’re running student versions right?

people skills are half the gig. You have to be able to sense personalities from afar. Never worry about being intrusive. What we do is so. maintaining eye contact helps lots when shooting people who are not use to being on camera. Also… pave the way before hand. Meet as many people as you can before you get started. It opens lots of doors
