The manual is prolly the best place to start if not getting audio suite. You’ll find launching it and dinkin’ around becomes pretty self-explainitory though.

They, like your bank, enjoy collecting intrest on your money. It’s why they pretend to be net 30 when they are net 90 and it’s why your bank bags you in holding that check by pretending to have to hold it for a week to ensure it clears. Like you don’t know this can be checked in real time.

Owners are far different. They’d simply pop that tape in and start the dub more often than not. Sure, they may have you stay back and lable it but they also throw a bone your way, unlike managers who have no reason to.
Management seldom knows squat. It’s why they manage instead of makin’ stuff. Hell, my last boss didn’t know the difference between a CD and a DVD and he was the one selling them.
I’ve been at this for a quarter of a century and never has a manager above me known what it takes to get the job done. Their job was to always pretend like they knew what was going on then split early, making the artists feel like they had something to work toward. -

People shown at public events do not have to sign releases. Speaking roles technically do as do any likenesses seen in non-public events.
Most of the time, blurred faces, like bogus 1k tone to create cuss words, is doen for effect, not legalities. have no content.. ya gotta create some type of deal.
That said, in my 25 years of making dosumentaries, never have I chased off a person by asking them to sign something. I’d rather ask forgiveness than permission in every walk of life. Don’t go taking my advice, I’m just saying this is how I do it. I don’t need no stinking release forms. -
I get an irriatting aliased line vertically when I key 1:1 beta sp footage. Bringing it in at 2:1 fixes this and never have I seen any artifacts from 2:1.
BTW, betaSP is uncompressed, it’s digibeta that is 2:1. -

Sick your bad cop on her if you must. For me, it’s my daughter. She takes no bull. She corned a coke head boss I had when she was just four and told him everything I was I had told him. I knew then she’d be my pitbull later on. Now at 13, she negotiates my bigger deals and acts as bad cop collector when I need her to.

You will never instill your work ethic in others. Some have it (on their own) and some do not. You will seldom be surprised who is who here. Suspect someone will drop the ball and usually, they are the one to do it. The old saying if ya want something done right ya gotta do it yourself does indeed ring true. The question becomes can I always do it all myself. If that is a yes, man I say do it. If it’s a no, like a hopeful coach in a big game, you’ll put your best players in and hope for the best. Don’t yell from the dugout… let em play. You have to QC everything and this is when you can offer constructive critisisms so ithat it’s closer to perfect the first time next time. It’s also where you should do your weeding, should you have to.

Go back to the last version you had or seach avid.com for the bug fix. This is why I stopped “updating”. They are not updates at all but bug fixes and with them come more bugs you have to find on the fly. No thanks. I’ll just stick to the ones I know. lol
