Not much probably! Silly question: Let’s say I cut the clip from the 1 minute mark to the 2 minute mark and then change my mind. How do I restore the video that was cut?

One other thing: Using key frames, I can make a bit of an effect so that maybe the image scales down to 0 over just a few frames. Looks a bit more professional I think, especially if another clip does a “lightning” animation as well.

That would involve two key frames, no? Ended up getting the effect I wanted by making the previous key frame type “hold”.

    Many thanks for your help!

I can get the effect I want by simply scaling down to zero. Another question: Is there a way to have the change defined at a key frame, scaling, for example, happen immediately instead of gradually (between that key frame and the previous one)? Thanks.

I tried that (of course) John and even created a blank project. New text events have the same behavior. BTW, I have the latest build. For now, will just try to work around it. If anyone else has a fix, would really appreciate hearing it though. Thanks again.

Thanks John. I have other text events I created previously that don’t show this behavior, so it seems to me like some setting got whacked. As I move the box toward the edge of the preview window, the text changes position in relation to it and the disappears as I get close to the edge. Ring any bells?

Sometimes bad news is better than no news. Thanks Tim!

Thanks Dave. I think I will use the envelope method to fade the talking head in and out. Much faster.

The UI gives the impression these settings are properties of the track. If so, why would moving a clip change them.

I would prefer not to have to reset them!
