Thanks for the helpful response. I’m on a powerful laptop that does everthing else quite handily. I’m sure decades ago laptops were very weak relative to desktops. These days, they make some powerful ones, e.g., Thinkpad P51 with 32G of RAM running

Anyway, someone experiencing the same behavior would recognize it. There was a time when the dialog came up instantly.

    Have a nice day.

Responses don’t get any better than that! Many thanks, Rob. I have it working, although I may go blind reading the tiny print on the screen (monitor scaling)!

Thanks, Todd. I found that making the track solo worked. Sounds like a bug.

Screenshot of entire application window. Also don’t have the fancy doo-dads on the tracks. Seems like I have a hobbled version.

As you can see in the screen capture, there is no “M” button! There’s nothing but the title: Master. Maybe I’m overlooking a simple way to display these icons. I just don’t know. I also can’t see keyframes. Could be a separate issue.

Thanks so much for asking, John. I have been distracted with other things. I realized that I bought something called Movie Studio — is it a dumbed-down version of Vegas? I’m finding all kind of differences, mainly options that are missing so I’m suspicious.

Such a helpful attitude, Aaron! Thanks! Turns out help isn’t so helpful in this case. I see nothing about hiding keyframes in the Pan/Crop window.

Agree that you can’t please everyone. Thanks for the help.

Other environments let you easily manage real estate in pixels. I think it only makes sense. I place talking head video beside images of PowerPoint slides. I’d like to make them the exact same height (pixel perfect).

Especially frustrating because the information is readily available; Adobe simply chooses not to expose it.
