As best I can tell you have two completely different audio files. One is the recorded sound of the video game and the other file is a narration track that accompanies the game. If you did a live recording of the narration track as the game played then it would just be a matter of syncing the starting point of each file. But this appears to be something that you’ll need to tweak throughout your timeline to make sure your narration is in sync with the video.
The sync function within Premiere will be of no help to you because it cannot sync two completely different audio files. It can only sync audio files which both share the exact same audio.

The two new features coming in the latest release are potentially very helpful.
Adding color match to the lumetri panel makes a lot of sense. It’s bad news for the RE-match plugin folks but it’s a logical progression for the color panel inside Premiere. And eliminating the creation of new audio files from a Premiere project timeline and instead just linking to the original files when working in Audition is also a major improvement in the Premiere to Audition workflow.
Now I just hope the bugs involved in these new features are minimal.

oliver, thanks for posting. I didn’t even know there were time tracking apps available. What a nice convenience for those of us who work on a variety of projects throughout the day or week.
I’ve set up a time tracker account and it seems to work well with my home edit system. At a client location it’s a bit problematic though because to use time tracker would require signing into Premiere under my account and some clients don’t want to change their setups.

To get a sense of where Apple may be headed in the future just look at how their revenue source has changed over time. The computer business is a small fraction of the phone business and perhaps not all that important to maintain and grow.

Perhaps FCPX is different in it’s architecture but the Adobe programs rely heavily on CPU power to maximize efficiency. A kickass GPU is great to have but if your CPU doesn’t match the power of the GPU it’s not making the most of the technology.
Also, if an add-on GPU is sharing bandwidth with a Thunderbolt raid/drive and also potentially a monitor is that a limiting factor in it’s overall performance?

how about some more info? What types of media are you attempting to sync? Do you have usable audio on both clips? Have you attempted to create multicam clips?
the audio sync function in premiere works well so this sounds quite odd.

All interesting points being made and yes that other thread was good too.
When set up correctly the side angle can be quite effective at getting further into an interview or punctuating a thought. The best example that I have from my own work is a show I worked on that had a very brief existence on ESPN. It covered Barry Bonds’ run up to breaking Babe ruth’s home run record and I’d argue that the two angles for his sit down interview work very well at heightening the interest of what he’s saying.
