    Thanks for the tip . Difference mode seems to work pretty well. I may have to use both methods as there’s still residual speckles left over after difference alone though.

    Sorry to hear that. There must be a solution because I have CS2 and can view .psd thumbnails with explorer. Keep poking about.

    If you put a file named psicon.dll (get it from P_shop 7 or earlier, or search google and download it) into the following directory you will reenable .psd thumbnails. C:\program files\common files\adobe\shell

    I’ll never understand why Adobe thought people wouldn’t want to be able to view .psd thumbnails in explorer. Really retarded in my opinion.

    Would you guess that HDV would really only be useful then for keying if you were going for SD release then? I’m assuming any keying garbage would be softened by the size reduction after keying.

    I’ve never exported any .swf from AE but if you make a high quality .mov at the size you want, your web guy can import that into flash MX and make a .swf or .flv that is very web friendly.
