Michael, I’m making the changes. In the Compressor Droplet I had audio set to Pass Through so that’s why it was 44.1. I’m changing it to 48. Should it be PCM, AAC or other?

You know it will format you hard drive.
Do you have Adobe software like Photoshop? If so you will need to de-activate it and then re-activate after you install it. Backup of email settings, contacts, bookmarks, actions, plug-ins, documents, and anything else important on that drive like documents, music, pictures, movies….

  • I connect my old VHS player to my Sony digital handy cam using the cable that came with the camera. Set the camera for AV IN/DV OUT and connect the camera to the computer using FW. Capture in FCP or Vegas. It works great I’ve been doing this for the last several years.

Thank you so much, I see how it works now. Before when I tried that I didn’t see that you could get into details and edit the settings.

You’ll want 8 core, more cores the better for vidoe. Get the # ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB [Add $200.00] You only need one video card. After you receive it, add three WD 1TB Black Caviar HD’s. Add more RAM later if you want. I have the 2.66 GHz. It handles any video you throw at it.
