You don’t need to export and re-import anything. Just import your footage and convert your wav files to match your sequence settings. import them sync them up and your good to go.

I’m a professional editor who LOVES LiveType, so now you know one. LOL.

  • I think that most of these consumer camera have poor sound quality for audio and poor lens optics for shooting. You’re very limited with depth of field which can be critical in a studio environment.

Thanks Dave. What I’m looking for is the best way to export this sequence. They don’t have FCP, so why would I send them a sequence? I’m not understanding the rest of your advice. All I need to do is drop a Quicktime file on their FTP site. Why would I need to find” an FTP upload client (versiontracker.com) or determine if their site will accept files from a Web interface?

I’m thinking the talking head and the titles. What would you deliver to a client? Do we just assume that they have a web person who can handle a flash file with Alphas? How would the titles be done?

Thanks Mike, my contract (I’m not referred to as Dummy) says:

If the shoot is cancelled or postponed less than 48 hours in advance for any reason including but
not limited to weather, (Client’s Name) is responsible for all shooting fees
as outlined in the proposal, and any other fees incurred by (Production Company) This
includes but is not limited to travel costs and equipment rentals.

What kind of Microphone did you use? Did you use headphones? Although you may be able to help your audio somewhat, you really need to understand the basics of recording good audio when you shoot for future projects.
