Well, I sure hope it stops at 100%. I would be worried if it kept counting up past 101%.
I reckon you jest Steve but just in case, I meant the dialogue box doesn’t change after reaching 100% as usual.

Does the target folder exist? Is there already an output file by the same name?
    Yes and no

Go to Start, Run, and enter resmon
In the Overview tab, look for the vegas120.exe in the image column.
Right-click on the program image name and select “Analyze Wait Chain”
If a process is the problem, you can try to simply end the process. More often than not (in my experience) this usually fixes the immediate problem and the program can continue running. Back up your work and Google the offending process to see if there may be a fix. (It’s a long shot, though.)

This is good to know and I will try it if and when this happens again.
    Thanks Steve,
    Randy

Thanks Steve, on large projects that need to be closed and re-opened, I’ll move over to the work PC then.
    Thanks very much,

What I find even stranger is after I did some CC on the veg file, re-rendered with the same name (replacing the other one)and then burned another DVD in the same folder as the other TS, DVDA didn’t ask me if I wanted to replace it…but it did…yikes, seems like that could be a little dangerous.

Thanks my friend that was it…I should have read each of those options instead of just scanning for the word drivers in the prefs (and searching the manual)…and yes I’m using the asio drivers that came with my interface.
All seems to be normal now, thanks again!

Like you and Cubase, I’ve been with Cakewalk forever …also like Cubase CW sold themselves (to Roland, the hardware musical instrument guys).
That said, I like Sonar a lot…speaking of Hans Zimmer, I’m a big fan and able to create reasonable facsimiles of the likes of him, Danny Elfman, Mike Oldfield, etc with 3rd part software.
The best thing about Sonar though is the very active forum…one can usually get an answer to any issue they’re having within a couple of hours.
I could say a lot more but we should probably take this offline, you can send me an email at Randy@CrystalClearNM.com if you’d like.
BTW, I’m not sure what you mean there’s no mp4 in VP12…what about the Main Concept templates?
So… anyone know if there’s a “share driver” option in VP12? I can’t find anything in prefs or the manual but that doesn’t mean it’s not there knowing me.

Thanks Brent but I have to ask why it would work as expected in Sonar and not VP12.

Presonus does seem to be trying in that they’ve supported 64 bit for some time now…really hoping it’s some setting I can change in VP12 to eliminate the problem (ie allow shared drivers or something)…fingers crossed
    Thanks again Brent,

August 11, 2012 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Ideal rendering options for Motorola Xoom?

    Thanks Dave,
With JRs help we finally got a 5mbps render to play on his xoom…he’s never updated it in the year that he’s had it so I encouraged him to look for an update to which he said he would.
    Thanks again,
    Randy
