Hi,

I’ve just published a tutorial covering this exact thing:

In the video, I use regular keyframes, but it just a case of switching these to hold keyframes to get the result you’re after.

If you take a look at Google Earth Studio, you can export videos from that. That should give you the smooth movement without reloading that you’re after.

If you take at look at the preferences area in AME, I think you should be able to increase the RAM allocation.

Oh wow, that sounds like a bug in the system if even the example files don’t work. Have you tried contacting Adobe technical support for this? They were really good helping me out a little while back.

Oh wow, I can imagine this being frustrating.

Pure speculation here, but how about including tracking markers, then using AE’s tracker to track the scale changes. You might then be able to reset the scale based on this information.

You might need to break up the image into bands and track each section separately.

I’m also wondering if there’s anything within the time displacement effect that could help here.

Yikes that’s a lot of code… rather than trying to unpick it, I’ll just point out that the pickwhip can be used to identify a value on an effect and add it as code to your expression.

How much does he move around? It might be quicker to manually move an adjustment layer/null by setting keyframes for each minute, then checking coverage in each minute section, adjusting where needed.

Another option would be to use a proxy for faster working, but to be honest you might spend just as long rendering out the proxies.

Finally, I’ve just learned that YouTube has an automatic face blurring option. Never used it myself but that might be the simplest solution if it works.
