Media Encoder rendering, SSD’s and TBW
I’m rendering some very large VR After Effects videos in Media Encoder and I’m noticing that it is hitting the cache SSD pretty hard and burning through TBW’s (Terra Bytes Written drive limits) at a fast rate. The machine has 64GB of RAM and I see that it is only half used – even with nothing else running. Is there a way I can get it to use less disk and more RAM?

If you take at look at the preferences area in AME, I think you should be able to increase the RAM allocation.

Thanks for the reply. I’ve been look at RAM allocation, but it doesn’t seem to affect Cache usage. Any thoughts on reducing Cache space to force more RAM use? Thanks for the help.
