    Supply us with:
    A)MediaInfo information.
    B) PC specifications.

    Also try these fixes:
    1) Turn off GPU.
    2) If you have 32bit Floating point revert to 8 bit.
    3) Match Project Settings to the Media.
    4) Do a Factory Reset of Vegas.

February 20, 2018 at 4:39 am in reply to: VP 15 Build 311 Out. DVD Arc Also Updated

[Mike Carlo] “Use Vegas DLM and Vegas 15 has build 311, and DVD Arc is build 84. I cannot find release notes.”

Nothing on the Official Vegas site. I’m holding-off until I read/hear an official MAGIX qualification of this being correct.

  • Yeah, Alberto, within that dense report is the line:

    [Alberto Chiong] “Fault Module: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSVCR110.dll”

I recognised this and did a quick search and found this:

“MSVCR110.dll is the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable dll that is needed for projects built with Visual Studio 2011. The dll letters spell this out. MS = Microsoft, V = Visual, C = C++, R = Redistributable

So, in doing the uninstall and reinstall may just make this Redistrib dll be reinstalled and proceed to operate correctly.

    Do keep us informed.

[Garrett Cosgrove] “I did more digging and……then I saw this “

Sure, Track Motion. But you were wanting to confine to a Crop in an Event.

February 19, 2018 at 9:37 am in reply to: There’s a hole in my video effects?

[John Rofrano] “Actually it’s an extremely useful setting”

Indeed. Once you’ve got to grips with its options, try the Copied to Clipboard facility working with this feature. I’ve used this option to colour correct a Target Event from a Source Event somewhere else on the Timeline. Very useful.

February 16, 2018 at 11:28 am in reply to: Border to cropped PIP?

[Garrett Cosgrove] “Yes, that’s well and good, . . . . I can’t seem to get it to just border the actual crop, very confused.”

STOP THE MADNESS! – Yah can’t do it this way. I should have really read your description more carefully – and that the first thing you wanted to do was to initially CROP that first image. It was your ScreenGrab that showed me. Yes you can Crop. And yes you can stick a Border on the Event – but not to to the Crop, in the way you/I were wanting. But KUDOS to you for finding something of a workaround. Stunning! I also tried Masking too – it was a mess . . . .
    OK, getting the Job done:

    Either:

A] Render out that Crop and THEN stick a Border on it

    Or:

B] Upgrade to VP15! VP15 has a PiP Widget within it, to do just this:

    Border Setup around Crop:

PiP FX in the FX Chain:

Now that I’ve spent time on this, somebody else is going to come up with a better solution for VP14! – I’m now guessing that there is a Video Wall thingy or script to use?

February 15, 2018 at 9:11 pm in reply to: Border to cropped PIP?

    [Garrett Cosgrove] “Thoughts?”

This is what I do when I utilize Crop > Border > Track Motion > 3D Spin in TM. No issues at all:

    Original

    Cropped

    Border Added to Crop

    Track Motion Added

    Track Motion Zoomed Out

    This is very straightforward.

I agree. Vegas has always dealt with the uppermost Track first.
