OK, Sean, from the answers you’ve given, you need to be aware that not all MP4s are created equally. Saying it’s from a particular device would mean needing us to research and drilling down your through your device’s capture specs to get anywhere close in guessing just what’s INSIDE that MP4 of yours. So, there is this freeware s/w that can tell us just what you’ve got inside the MP4! I use it all the time when colleagues have CODEC issues. And THAT, CODEC issues, is at the crux of the matter here.

Get us that information and there are plenty of knowledgeable people waiting to assist.

    Cheers,

    G

  • I’ve worked 23.567p fps + 25i fps rendered to AVI, MP4, MOV, WMV or MXF and also AC3 and MPG2 never has an issue. BUT! Do your own test and see what gives.

[Joel Farry] “Need some explaining here.”

Are you referring to that Pinkish area?

That indicates that somehow you’ve got the Video and Audio out of sync.

Unfortunately I WAS premature on the NeatVideo observation. Preview on Source Frames if NV is prior to Pan/Crop is STILL not revealed:

  • [Neil Pollick] “but it’s only one project that fails, generally rendering is just fine”

Sure, I understand, it’s this project. Then what is it in this project that’s different? Need more DATA from you. You know the routine.

    Regards

  • [Neil Pollick] “Any idea what the problem could be?”

Hi Neil – No, initially none. Need more DATA from you. As you know Rendering is top of the list for being challenging to Systems and space on hard drives. Something is most certainly CHOKING Vegas. So, I’d be looking at:

1] Cooling systems and checking that all air ducts, CPU cooling fins were dust clear; inlet filters and grids are clear. Don’t forget the PSU (Power Supply Unit) and its fans.

2] Make sure all the HDs have enough space capacity and check that the Windows Page File has enough to do the intensive Render.

[John Perez] “I can throw the events down on the timeline and at the press of a button it will be sync’d, based on matching the waveforms? Thx”

Hi John, sounds like a job for Red Giant’s PleuralEyes. See if there is a downloadable DEMO?

  • [Francois Pénzes] “The only problem is that a .veg file made in V 13 will not open in V 14. They are not backward compatible.”

Francois? That would be Forward Compatibility. Vegs made in V14 can’t be opened in V13.

April 21, 2018 at 6:41 am in reply to: An “easy” way to deform videos? Vegas Pro 14

[Michael Eder] “For better understanding this is the video that I took. “

Woah, Michael, I understand, even if it is possible in the way you wish, that’s a steep skills-curve you’d need to apply.

[Michael Eder] “The masking was already a lot of work, but deforming the clip into there is nerve wrecking. “

Yes, indeed. Apart from what you’re attempting to do, you’ve also got that organic lighting to then flood and illuminate the Screens!

Might I suggest the following? Consider doing a separate 3D Track Motion NESTED VEG. You could now be in control of the Perspective and Parralax you’re trying to execute using Deform FX. Do you understand? I just thought that an artificial Green Screen could or maybe employed to get you a result.

Generally this is an altogether Complex and Complicated project.
