I’ve watched your Sample three times now, but as it is so rapid I can’t add any further suggestions. Maybe others can assist, I’m out of ideas.

[Romano Vargas] ” I’ve created a quick video to provide a sort of example of what I’m talking about!”
Hi Romano, I’m not seeing your “Sample” – would be good to see exactly what you’re trying to achieve.

[Romano Vargas] “Will this create like a sort of “continuous rolling” effect?”
Not truly understanding what you mean. My best advise would be to get going with my suggestions and try them out.
[Romano Vargas] ” but I need it to “roll” over and over for about a second before slowing down. If not, is there possibly any way to do that using the transition progress/some other method?”
Again, see my previous reply.
[Romano Vargas] “Also, is there a way to motion blur the transition as well?”
Well, you could apply a Motion Blur to the Video Master Track, but that would bring your PC to its knees. From my exprience the advise i’d give would be to ADD additional FX-ing one step at a time by producing intermediary Renders. So,
1) Get your initial PUSH/Rolling done.
2) Apply the Timing you want.
3) Using the NESTING Option do Motion Blur in a PARENT Veg.You’re wanting to do too much as a one-shot solution – this could, no, WILL lead to Madness, Penury, Divorce and a distrust of Mankind in general.

[Robert Engle] “Also I don’t have any other fancy programs just Vegas Pro 13 and Photoshop.”
Hi Robert! – Do you have a microphone? Do you have a CellPhone that records Audio? Yeah? Then all you need to do is to Capture a SOUND, import to Vegas and let loose all the SFXs that are available in VP and you can produce all sorts of Foley (look this term up) you might need. I love doing Foley Work! – For instance, you could have your camera, or microphone or . . whatever . . setup and capturing next to a FOOD PROCESSOR, and capture away. Upload the FP Audio into Vegas Pro and start apply Deep Echo or Stretching the Event or Reversing or Applying several Layers of the clip. As to the VegasPro SFXs we’ve got a TON of ’em! – You’ve paid for them – so use them.????:

[Romano Vargas] “Those would definitely work better, which transition would you recommend I use for this desired effect?”
Romano, here yah go. I’ve used an EventA and EventB:
EventA:
EventB:
Using PUSH Transition this is what it looks like in Preview:
On the Timeline:
And using the Transition Progress Envelope:
NB: Romano, you NEED to apply PUSH to BOTH Events AND apply the PUSH OFF Control:
I haven’t yet figured/wrangled the FADES you want, but you’ve got enough to carry on with – yeah? ????

Hmm…?? I’m starting over Romano using your AIM rather than the PROCESS of the TV Sync FX Tool . . . .
[Romano Vargas] “I would like to make a sort of “screen roll” transition from one clip to the next, having the first clip slowly start to roll and then fade into the next clip while still rolling before slowly stopping.”
VegasPro has plenty of Transitions and Track Motion options. We also have the option with Transitiopns to Insert a Transition Velocity Envelope – these are really neat! Have you explored these or not? I’m thinking you really need to SEPARATE out the TV SYNC from the ROLLING of the Video Frame, which may be attainable from one of the solutions I suggest. What do you think?

[Romano Vargas] “but it only seems to go one direction (top to bottom) when setting the “Vertical Sync” bar from 1.0000 to 0.0000″
Hi Romano, here’s a daft idea, can you set to -1.0000, if you can, will that do it? Or is there a Direction Control?

[Dimitrios Papadimitriou] “Oh yeah, any syncing would have to be done manually.”
Y‘know, Dimitrios, we’ve raised that age-old realisation that just ‘cos we can/could do something in VegasPro, albeit a real PITA, it could be about time to use another s/w package. Users come here after seeing a really neat effect elsewhere and try to shoe-horn their Creativity into VP, which maybe just too awkward and unrewarding.
Dimitrios, we’re in the realm of Managing Expectations ????.

Agreed. Do read what I’d suggested, because I indicated what could be done to SYNC to the V/O: Each V/O spoken Word SYNCED to its appearance. Hunter was wanting to SYNC, as per his YouTube sampler.
