Steve, be assured iZotope is pure VooDoo. I’ve used it on many instances of dreadful audio.

Once it samples the nasties it gets on with the job. There’s some great tutes out there to watch. You’re going to have some real jaw-dropping experiences.

If you lived next door to me you could borrow one of XM2 SD Cameras, and use it as a AV<>DV pass thru’ and take that into Vegas as f/w. but that’s another story….. Could you get yer hands on such a cammie?

Will MS MM capture from a USB feed? If so once you’ve got the “files” captured into your PC, wouldn’t Vegas then recognise their existence?

Well Danny it’s not quite what’s going on that . . . . .

If you look closely at any of the background “split” videos, you’ll notice, especially with faces, that there is quite a distance from a “nose” to a “mouth. This indicates to me that the “background” video is in fact “split” horizontally and given a fair bit of vertical separation, allowing the middle section to be stripped in.

On this basis, I think that you’d need at least 3 Tracks and lets call the 3 visuals “regions” as TOP Region MIDDLE Region and LOWER Region. Using Pan/Crop to get each Regions selection and then Track Motion for the “separation” layout your tracks as follows:

Track 1 – TOP Region

Track 2 – MIDDLE Region

Track 3 – LOWER Region

How do you know you lost the trannie part? You may need to re-activate the ALPHA channel in Vegas, in the Media Properties. You really shouldn’t need to remove the “white” part?

Steve, if PNGs were used before, then that was the route I was offering. However, if that doesn’t work then choose another graphic format, PSDs are good too.
