I’m using NewBlue TITLER Pro Ultimate. for the same reason that you’ve found that the Text tools in VP are restrictive. Animation is straight forward.

I don’t understand? Firstly you say you don’t need animation and then you say you’d use Track Motion for animation? It’s the use of Track Motion that you’re going to need to decide if you end up with crisp enough results. TM doesn’t employ Vector scaling on your text. It uses the Graphic as a Raster.

For example, have you used any SONY Scripts that have not yet been edited/recompiled to work with MAGIX VP? I’ve had exactly this with a Script that hadn’t yet been recompiled to work in MAGIX VP14.

That error is indicating some asset that has not been altered/changed from working in Sony VP to work in MAGIX VEGAS PRO.

Each Track has Live Output Meters in the Track Header.

Also do go: View > Window > Mixing Console . The Mixing Console has heaps of the same Meters but aligned Vertically together and is a real assist to what you want. I use it all the time.

As to an Average, which I don’t understand, but if you mean that which you wish to see just how the audio develops overtime you can see Peaks which you can set.

There are plenty of tools to use in Vegas to do what you want.

Also, as a crude visual, use the Audio Sound File Graphs.
