Don’t you mean GPU acceleration? And yes, if the Graphics card – the GPU – isn’t listed as being good for acceleration, then that will choke Vegas.

Do research if your Graphics card is recommended.

Well, I just tested small 11 second Events with 6 Format types on 3 Regions, working fine here. So, the BR Script is doing what it should.

Are you sure you had the Regions options selected? Try rebooting the PC?

As a rough starting point for your research, the higher the BITRATE the larger the file. What you haven’t said is what/where the File will be played on and shown monitor.

720p simply indicates one of the dimensions of the Frame and that it will be Progressive.

Being helpful here, why not try a suck n see attitude? I’ve calculated MPG for DVDs using a BitRate calculator, must be one for MP4s?

Sounds like Vegas is having to best-guess the Media. Oh, and BTW, you haven’t STATED the Project Settings?

Try this: Put some footage on a NEW TL and render to a Sony MXF, bring that to aanother NEW Veg and Match the Project Settings to the Sony MXF media. Now, make some Splits and do the Transition thing. How’s that? Let’s see if VP splutters on that.
