  • Error When Trying to Do Batch Render Script

Posted by John Lee on May 6, 2017 at 2:32 pm

I’ve never had a problem with Batch Rendering until now. I have two files on the timeline and separated them into 2 regions. Went to Batch Render and immediately got this error message:

An error occurred during execution of the script C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS PRO 14.0\Script Menu\Batch Render.cs.

    Error 0x80131600 (message missing)

    Under details, it says this:

    C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS PRO 14.0\Script Menu\Batch Render.cs : Source file ‘C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\jtgizfkc.0.cs’ could not be found
    C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS PRO 14.0\Script Menu\Batch Render.cs : No source files specified

Any idea what’s going on and how I can fix it? Thanks.

One more thing. Instead of have two video files and rendering via batch, I tried just leaving one file in the track and rendering it by itself. It’s a big file (40 min long). I’ve tried 3-4x but Vegas crashes after the 1st minute or so.

The PC is very fast, new and has plenty of memory and processing power. It’s never done this, so I assume these two problems are related.

Any ideas how I can fix it?

Well, I just tested small 11 second Events with 6 Format types on 3 Regions, working fine here. So, the BR Script is doing what it should.

Are you sure you had the Regions options selected? Try rebooting the PC?

Actually, what BUILD of VP14 are you using?

I think it’s Build 201 or something. Am I way behind?

If I am rendering something that is less than 60 seconds, no problem. But anything larger and it crashes unless I turn off the CPU acceleration. Is that really odd?

Yes. I rebooted the PC and even tried uninstalling/reinstalling the s/w. The batch rendering gives me an error every time.

[John Lee] “unless I turn off the CPU acceleration. Is that really odd?”

Don’t you mean GPU acceleration? And yes, if the Graphics card – the GPU – isn’t listed as being good for acceleration, then that will choke Vegas.

Do research if your Graphics card is recommended.
