I totally agree with Aaron. I have been in the same situation as you and the best thing is just to ask the post company what they want. In my case they needed dpx files. It all depends on what they are going to do with the footage. They can probably deliver back any format and codec you want and that depends on what the final destination is. I would suggest to get at least 1080 size back if possible so you won’t be stuck with SD material.

Why not export as avi from the quicktime conversion if it’s just a container issue? Choose “none” in the compression settings and you should be good to go.
If you choose wmv you are bound to some type of compression, correct me if I’m wrong.

Thank´s Eric for your effort but I can´t get it your expression to work, no randomness at all.

My intention is a random scrambling line of numbers ex: “3625 7480 8427”
that transform to ex: “text more text” caharacter by character.

Eric: The problem with keyframing source text is that it creates hold keyframes.

Brian: I watched Erans tutorials and unfortunately it´s just a text preset he uses and it´s not the effect I´m after.

    Hi Bob.

I have all my audio monitoring via Aja in to a Mackie mixer.
So everything that goes out from the Mac, Final cut, After effects, Pro tools, Itunes or what ever goes through the Aja card.

Now I also have a problem with the audio synch when I jump between different apps. The only solution is to restart Final Cut.

Worth mentioning is that this is a brand new editing station.
I have just switched from a G5 Power PC with a Decklink SD card to
a Mac Pro with Aja Kona 3.

Thank´s Eric but I need the characters to be numbers at first, the character offset only offsets the character. Any tip on how to display numbers?

I have trashed FCS prefs and installed Aja software again.
Haven´t had any disappearing sound so far, I keep my fingers crossed!

    Thank´s

    Thank´s Darby!
I´m really poor when it comes to math unfortunately, I´m more of a visual person. But it was well explained so I think I get the essense of it. 🙂
I could never figure things like that out myself. I wish I could though. Thank god for guys like you!
