Thanks for the tip. Now THAT’s quite amazing. Just installed Everything and, like you say, blazingly fast. Phew !

    Mike,
You’re a hero ! That did it! Thanks so much for your response. The only major difference between Import/Media/and Import DVD Camcorder Disc is that you have to import the whole dvd. I only wanted one chapter but, no big deal. I’m just so happy that I was able to get the piece I needed.
    Thanks again.

There’s a very simple way to clear IN/OUT points.
Essentially giving them the one, two hit,
simultaneously hit the “I” and the “O” keys
    That will do it.

    Tony,
Thanks for helping me realize I didn’t explain myself clearly.
I didn’t mean to imply that this was anything to compare with JiBjab. What I meant to say was that my partner had seen a Jibjab animation and wanted me make the mouths of Mark and his “fellow vocalists” actually move which I do think I succeeded in doing. You’re absolutely right that this isn’t in the same league as JibJab. Their animations are really quite superb and very clever. It was late last night when I posted this so I confess to being a little foggy when I wrote the post.

    Emma,
Just like you, I moved the Preview window our of the way of the project and then, when I was ready to move it back, couldn’t find it. Go to View and it will probably be selected, you just can’t see it. Then deselect and reselect. The very edge of it should then appear at the bottom of the screen allowing you to pull it back into the project.

    Thanks John,
I removed the Enigma plugin and that seemed to do the trick.

Thanks Scott. That was a good idea.
Unfortunately, it didn’t help. The window still flies off the very bottom of the screen into the great unknown. It’s quite frustrating as I’m unable to edit any text.

    Yes Rick,
Doing it this way, you don’t really have to full with these pesky envelopes and, when you use more than one frequency & gain, that would get impossible to find the right envelope.
I’ve been using this method all morning and it works great.
I save the eq I like to a preset then have my mouse hover over that until the playback is right on the In marker and then I click the eq and just let it play that region. Once it’s done playing, the eq has changed for that region only. By the way, it does have to be the LATCH mode. Touch won’t work.
    Happy automation !
