Thanks – I tried it and I have couple questions. If I reload my project the problem is still there. Do I need to redue the reloading and menu creation all over or is there a step that is simpler?
2nd Question is re. understanding this. How do I prevent this and why does this need to be done? thanks again -
Just to let any who cares know, I went back to vegas, did not use the 2 pass redure method, I used the make a movie button, chose dvd and no menu, and burn. It rendured and sent it to dvd architect. I checked it (in dvd architect) and it looked good so I added menus and burned and it worked with no red error messages.

Ill try to respond to each of your statements.
1-The default bitrates are good for videos less than 70-minutes long. -my video is 66min – so default is good.
2-AC3 files are what the DVD wants. You can send a WAV file but it is much larger than an AC3 file-in vegas i rendured the audio under dolby digital ac-3 – so its been changed to ac3.Now the error message that dvd architect gave are all on the video (right?) so how do i solve the video errors based on what I mentioned I have already done?

I use a sony avchd handycam, which ive used and editted and burned before without these error messages. I editted in vegas. I did a 2 pass redure, 1 under “main concept mpeg-2″ I picked dvd architect ntsc widescreen video stream. 2nd pass under dolby digital ac-3, I actually tried both but noticed audio levels higher under ” stereo dvd” – so picked this one. I loaded dvd architect brought in the drama, added a simple menu and scene selection menu and got error messages. I followed above procedure last week with my hawaii trip video and it burned no problem. On the drama I imported a wave audio file to replace the original soundtrack which is the only difference I know of and shouldn’t make a difference, I believe.
I don’t know how to play with the bit rates as steven rhoden suggested and is it necessary?? Thanks for your imput -

Okay Ive discoverered the pan/crop function. Can it be programmed to to a gradual zoom out. So far ive had to split the video, set crop in each section but the switch from one frame to the next is an instant zoom out or a instant pan over .

Sad thing is the scatches are very minor. One Im guessing must be where the starting info for the dvd file is. I was a comodore hack way back and i had a program that could open any floppy even if it was unreadable normally by the drive. Actually there was a header bit that if you changed just this one bit , it make the disk unworkable. Using this program I could fix that bit as well. I bought a dvd ripper but it wont work as the disk drive cant get by that starting part.
