ok fine ive decided on the Canon.
Hopefully Magic Lantern will come to the T4i soon as I really really want focus peaking, will help lots!
As for the other issue… which lens should i get now?
I ahve about a $900 budget.
Was thinking the 18-135 lens, other options here:

I appreciate ur comment, but i was disappointed with the AF during video with the canon.
I wont really be using it much i guess, as I manual focus, but its always a nice extra.
It’s a pity it doesnt ahve 1080P 50fps either!Do you have any opinion about those factors?

Im in the same situation except im looking at the canon 650d (t4i as welL!) -
thanks malcolm, but its a bit out of my budget and although i like the GH3, im nt as much a fan of the GH2.
Do you have any ideas/opinions about the use of the aVCHD of the sony in premiere?

try using quicktime 7.6.2 (unisntall the other version u have).
I found that worked for vegas 9 64x however after a while if i added more than 5 mov clips it would go bakc to failing.
I have since bought adobe premiere and it runs like ducks nuts.
Sad to say but vegas = fail for MOV
They say they have “fixed” the issue in 10 (i was checking b4 buying) i downloaded a fake versiona nd no, still no luck)
Others may say “fake version = no updates = fail”… but my gut said i shouldnt go for it and i changed :S

ok well i just did this then:
Went into Ppro and rendered audio as WAV and used the Dynamic link video with the Wav file…
Seems to play ok…
I guess thats an answer but to me its a bandaid. It seems that when dynamic link moves from Ppro to Encore, the audio slow seems to fail and the sections all screw up…

Its weird that the file size of the iso is 4.69 gb but when in roxio its “13 mb over” -
Thanks for the response.. however I cant see where i can change the end size?
I have seen the part saying what size disc to put it on… but if i write “4.5GB custom” it just says its 100mb too much…
is it a matter or retranscoding material etc?
