    Subject says it all!

I was running vegas 9 with quicktime 7.6.2 and MOV files would be fine, however the iosurrogate was having issues and the thing kept crashing… I also just wanted the upgrade so i went to vegas 10..

First 5 files went in well, but after adding anymore all the previews go black and now the rest are all black too.

The files are not currupt… and i know this is an issue, but i thought it was fixed in 9D and 10…

Sooo should i revert my quicktime to another one or what!!! any ideas coz i NEED TO EDIT!!!

    ok weird.

Ive started another project and it works fine…

howevre my old project still has blue only!! No IDEA!! wttttttt

dunno where to go from now…

I dont want to start working on a project.. get half way and it all go black and start again!!! what should i do!

SHould i just export all to another format using… premiere or somthing?

or is there a BULK export program?

I ahve about 50 MOV files in library but only 4 in the timeline.

Im also using Sony MTS files in same timeline.

Also.. my IOSURROGATE seems to keep freezing >(

Perhaps i ahve too much stuff in my library and i should move to using something like Premiere 🙁 ??

also, just checking, which version of QT are u using.

Im still on 7.6.2 andd the issue is so intermittent. One second they will work, next second all the time line ones are black… Next second i can see the again.

I updated to most recent and they all went black, no luck… but maybe somewhere between 7.6.2 adn current version there is a compatible version

Did you ever find a solution to this? I also am having the same problem. Using Vegas 8 for 5 years..never had a problem until recently.

Also have two different computers- 32 bit & a 64 bit- neither work 🙁

try using quicktime 7.6.2 (unisntall the other version u have).

I found that worked for vegas 9 64x however after a while if i added more than 5 mov clips it would go bakc to failing.

I have since bought adobe premiere and it runs like ducks nuts.

Sad to say but vegas = fail for MOV

They say they have “fixed” the issue in 10 (i was checking b4 buying) i downloaded a fake versiona nd no, still no luck)

Others may say “fake version = no updates = fail”… but my gut said i shouldnt go for it and i changed :S

    Sorry i couldnt help more
