    Hey Mike,
What’s the longest video I can burn using this method?
I just tried 1/2 the project, about 2:15 hours, and it stated it would require 10GB…

    uh ho!
    Just tried… stumbling block aheaed…

I was hoping to have the availability to do only the selection as the timeline’s video is 4 hours!

I guess this method won’t work. Any other ideas?

You see, I’ve already remdered this long timeline in shorter mp4 segments. I was hoping to just import them in DVDA. and burn a couple of DVDs.

    ha ha!
You mean… trying to be as efficient as possible, Mike 🙂
Thanks for confirming what I thought.

You’re right, I’m not looking for a data file but an actual DVD.

Hmmm… I like the idea of burning it right from the timeline.
I’m going to try this right now,
    Thanks!

  • Thanks John, I’ll certainly try the Ram preview.

  • Hi Matt,
    Thanks for piping in!

I’m curious. When you make references to Premiere using “old school” methods, are you talking CS6? A colleague of mime uses it… professionally and stated huge improvements in from previous versions.

  • Ed,
I’m using the Sony titles and text media generator, didn’t find what you mentioned there.
I did set my preview to auto… no diff.

    Hi John,

    Project: HDV 720-30p (1280×720, 29.970 fps) – square pxl
render is DVD template: 720×480 16:9 display
media is 1280×720 (seen in the pan/crop window) I’m not cropping.

    Is this correct?

  • Hi Ed,
Thanks for this. It was quite confusing acquiring the correct update file from NB. I think I got it though. I did the “update” from the help of the plug-in.
Same issue though. Too sluggish to be useful.
    Cheers,

Do any of you know why my lower textual lower-thirds drop position (lower) when I render using the DVD template?
I’d hate to have to tweak them all (blindly as what I see on the screen is not what I get) just to have correct alignment in in DVD render.

I don’t really want to have to keep 2 separate projects to workaround this problem. Sheesh! having so many problems with Vegas lately. 🙁

  • Hi John,
Thought I’d give Sony titles and text another go. I tried the “coming at you” preset, as is, out of the box. Performance is pathetic. it jumps/stutters like mad and I can’t really see the true result. This is at Preview-half resolution and with the track solo-ed.

Unless I’m doing something wrong…it’s not really unusable.
