Hi John, yes I always do multitracks. I use lots and try to keep things tidy by not having too many. IE> iv’e kept all my lower thirds on a 2 tracks (grouped). I’m not too fond on multiplying this by x for each logo i may insert.
I’ll stick to key-framing… not so bad.

AHhh… Thanks John (and Mike via email). Will do. Only thing is that by doing this I’m affecting all all graphics on this track and need to start keyframing.

But if this is the way it must be done… that’s the way I’ll do it 🙂

Mike, the problem is that the pan/crop will only shrink so much than I have to also use the track motion to shrink some more. A bit of a pain to have to use 2 tools to shrink it.

This is why I don’t make it so large to begin with.

I’m using an i7 w 8gb RAM. I would assume this is powerful enough.

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that v12 has improved in this area.

By the way, I created media which was twice as large (png) and this made no difference. The DVD version, mpg, still does not produce a clean graphic.

Thanks Mike. I may have to split the project and render to mpg2/ac3 after all.

How do you go about knowing if the mpg/ac3 will fit on a DVD? for 2.25 hours, which bit rate should I select?
