    Thanks for your reply Edward.

I don’t have any shapes in the scene, just a single 3D model I imported (obj). I was under the impression the the spikebuster controls are only available for user-generated or imported vector images?

I’ll have another play around and if I can’t figure things out I will send you the project as requester.

    Thanks.

WOW! Thank you for all the replies and advice. I’ve only just managed to read them so I’ll try out some of your suggestions shortly.

    Thanks again for the help.

Ahh… Please ignore my previous post. I just found Eran Stern’s excellent tutorial on how to do this.

  • Thank you. I tried several methods, including the setting you advised, all with key frames on every frame, but although the material looks absolutely perfect offline, YouTube just makes it looks like crap. I know it can do better than what I’m getting as I’ve seen other YT videos that look great.

I tried QT @ 100% quality + 1 keyframe every frame, I tried the same with h.264, even going up to an over-the-top 60mbps and 1 key frame every frame, also tried uploading the a full lossless avi (1.54gb for a 20 second 720p clip) and they all looked pretty dire.

  • Many thanks Johnny. I just looked at how to use stroke with path and this is obviously the way to go”

  • My apologies; I see there is a “Compression” forum. I should have posted this there. Still, if anyone has a clue… 🙂

  • I think I could have worded my question a little more clearly, so here goes!

Having used all 8 Invigorator sets, and animated each set, how can I rotate the entire 8 sets as though they were one single object?

I can rotate an AE camera around the Invigorator model of course, however I want to place the 3D Invigorator model into a scene (on top of a table in a room) and then pan around the entire room scene, whilst at the same time the Invigorator model rotates independently on the table top.

I suppose an even simpler way to put the question would be; how can I rotate an entire 8 set Invigorator model without having to pan a camera around it?

  • Thanks Edward. I look forward to seeing v6 🙂

Thank you for the reply Mike.

My project frame rate settings are PAL/25fps, however the video I have imported (to add my light effect to) is 15fps. I am exporting at 25fps.

I was under the impression (probably mistakenly) that it did not matter what frame rate imported video was, that it would be converted somehow to match the current project fps settings. As I said previously, the whole video appears to play perfectly and in sync from within Premier itself.

Are you saying that for all future projects, if I ever want to add clips to my project, the fps of the imported clip must match the project settings? Surely this would create problems finding material. For instance, as I am UK based, my project settings are usually PAL, 25fps. What happens if I want to incorporate clips from a non-UK source, such as US NTSC 29.97 fps?
