Turn the visability of a set off and on?

January 23, 2012 at 4:21 pmI know that you can turn the set visibility off and on in the object control panel in Invigorator 5 (for After Effects) but can this be done in an AE comp somehow?
I have two models, one in set 1 and the other in set 2. For the first few seconds of my comp I want set 2 to be invisible, and then I want to turn it on, and then switch off set 1 etc. The only way I’ve been able to figure this out so far is just to make a keyframe to move the sets off the visible screen, but this seems a silly way to do it.
Hope someone can help!

You could use an animated transparency map for this and assign it to your objects using the Layer Mapping technique.
Salut.
