Hi George,Thank you for contacting Sony Creative Software. You may need to check and make sure that your camcorder has the latest 64-bit drivers installed on your machine. If you can verify that the camera drivers are 64-bit compliant, then the following knowledge base articles may be of some assistance:

64 bit drivers? since you are SONY and you make both product, could you provide a Link to these? I cannot find reference to these ANYWHERE, including sony site, and pro site, Creative Cow, Internet… I assumed SONY Vegas 8.1 64bit came with 64bit HVR-Z1U capture drivers. Fresh install on fresh vista home basic 64, Vegas is the only installed program.Give Me More Silicon!

Sounds lame Really cool that vegas can do this thou…Might want to get Quicktime pro and just, render the mp4 to something you can use…

Although 8c will install on your computer running Vista64 8.1 is actually the correct program for the 64bit version of windows you are running…try Uninstall both then just re-install 8.1 not 8c

November 8, 2008 at 10:01 pm in reply to: best Hd rendering Option to take HD FOOTAGE to Premire Pro 1.5?Awsome Thx it works now… no green blinking corrupt looking video(we will see in 30 days?)…I Used the aspect HD instead of the more spendy products figured theyd be more updated…Funny thing was before I Installed the trial, Cineform was at 3.8 in vegas rnow it is 4.1.0 In vegas, weird since it is for Premire, Pretty cool of them to do that, I will definately look to their products in the future. In the Interum I found that HDV 720p 30fps worked straight from vegas, HDV 1080i -60i with many diff config options no…Still convinced that there might be some stock setting to work… the Video initially came from a firestore fs-4 and was m2t and vegas kicks ass rendering mpeg… prem is too artifacty. thx very much G

I am working with a fs-4 hd using a sony z1u with it it. I would recommend getting an hd one because the firmware upgrade is 299 or 199 to upgrade… Whatever it is it should be less…Hate to should on you firestore, know you have stockholders to please; you might want to reduce you firmware prices by partnering with divx or something before some chinese outfit starts pumping these dvr’s out.
Best,
G
