Hi Hessu,
Have you gone back to a previous project (prior to this flicker problem) and render it again? If an older project renders properly, then I would look at the current source media as a possible problem.
Have you reset Vegas and deleted the cached application data? When the program starts doing strange things, this would be the first step.

December 7, 2016 at 9:20 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro only renders audio, but no video when using XDCAM or HD CAMHi Marcel,
@ “What I see in the render preset of XDCAM is that the “include video” box is greyed. But I can´t change it.”
That option is also grayed out in my Sony Vegas Pro 13. It’s checked to include video, but grayed out as there is no option to render without video being included.
I don’t have anything specific, other than doing a reset and delete the cached application data. This often helps when strange things are happening. Also, you may want to post the Mediainfo (text mode) of your source files, along with project properties and settings within the render template.

December 7, 2016 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Preview screen & render coming out black? SV Pro 14It would appear you have found your way out of your immediate dilemma, so may not be interested in this. On the heels of Aaron’s replies…….because of QT in Windows being 32 bit based, the limitation of a project with QT files seemed to have been reported by many as too many QT events, pending individual systems. I have read where some reported problems with as few as 20 events and others didn’t reach a limit for over 100!
Then I read one poster thought it wasn’t the size of events, rather strictly the count. I made a test in Sony Vegas Pro 13 with five minute ProRes clips. When I reached 80 events, strange things started. I then started a new project, placing 60 events. Then render those to an intermediate CineForm file. I started another project loading 60 ProRes events and again render a CineForm intermediate. And again. Then I loaded the 3 intermediates and another 60 ProRes events, for effectively 240 QT events, and it run smooth and rendered. It was a down and dirty test, with no FX, but seemed like it would work for real time editing. Just an idea that maybe you or someone else reading this might try if you again find yourself up against a wall.

November 30, 2016 at 5:18 pm in reply to: USA GH4 in UK? Any reason not to get USA model?Hi Ben,
I have a GH4 and it will setup for 59.94 (NTSC) Hz, 50.00 (PAL) Hz or 24.00 (Cinema) Hz, with all the available frame rates dependant on the ‘System Frequency’ (NTSC, PAL Cinema) it is set for.
In addition to the shipping, insurance, cost, etc., how would the USA warranty effect you. I would be inclined to contact B&H Photo (or similar USA dealer) and consult with them on a purchase.

November 25, 2016 at 3:45 pm in reply to: .MP4 Vegas 13 only opens audio when dragged inHi Brent,
I’m not speaking for Magix, but better than them or anyone else giving you a 100% guarantee, is you giving it to yourself. You are the only one who has your computer setup and your source media. Your guarantee comes in the form of downloading the trial version of Magix Vegas Pro 14 and then trying it first hand. The trial version is the full version (without add-ons) and then you can test it for the results without spending any money.
On the other hand, if you have additional information about your source code, as suggested by Ole, other members may have some valuable input to help you avoid the crashes.

November 21, 2016 at 9:45 pm in reply to: I’m Pimping my PC, need your advice please! Rx480 6700K?Hi David,
If your budget doesn’t have room for an 8 core as Ole suggest, then I would lean on at least a 6 core as Paul suggest.
I’m using the i7-6800K (Asus 99A-II board), SSD, 68 GB Ram R9-380. It is fine for 1080p, and handles 4K, but by no means is it a 4K box. When I put this build together I had absolutely no intentions of shooting 4K. 3 months later I picked up a 4K camera!!! We often don’t know, what we don’t know, and at the time I was convinced I wasn’t going 4K! I was wrong about myself. You may know yourself better, but beware, if you have the budget and can get an 8 core, you will never look back. Just my personal opinion. I’m good with what I have, but if I had any idea back then, I would have dumped the extra money for an 8 core box.

November 20, 2016 at 5:45 pm in reply to: [Vegas 12] Is there any way I can make Vegas capable of reading H-264 codecs?Hi Tony,
If you haven’t already, you may want to consider un-installing the K-Lite codec pack, it will not help and has the capability to mess up the codec which were included with your VP12. You may have to re-install VP12, after removing the K-Lite.
If you have MainConcept AVC and Sony AVC render templates, they include the h.264 codec (MPEG4).
There may be something else in your source media that Vegas Pro doesn’t like. When you convert these source media files, whatever it is that Vegas Pro doesn’t like has been removed so they will work on the timeline. If your source media comes from a camera phone or screen capture program, they often record in variable frame rate. That could be the problem as NLE’s prefer a constant frame rate. Without knowing what your source media is, that is a guess.
You could use Mediainfo (text mode) and post the spec’s of your source media, which may help others figure out your solution.

I’m not going to be of much help with that question, hopefully Aleksey or another member will contribute.
I have the Mercalli stand alone version as well as the plug-ins, but I can’t remember using the plug-ins, just the stand alone and that has the CMOS correction automatic.
I also remember when I first started using Mercalli 4 +SAL, I had to watch several tutorials before I got a satisfactory result, as I was over-compensating.
I know this isn’t much help, sorry…..

Hi Roger,
Aleksey is probably correct……
Recently you posted about installing Vegas Pro 14. Did you get the Mercalli 4 as a bundle with VP14, or did you purchase the Mercalli 4 Vegas Plug-in.
Mercalli 4 +SAL (stand alone), Mercalli 4 Vegas Plug-in, and Mercalli 4 CMOS fixr Vegas plug-in are available in a Suite bundle from ProDad.
If you just purchased the Mercalli 4 Vegas Plug-in, as far as I know, it does not include the CMOS fixr, as the CMOS fixr plug-in is sold separate (except in the bundle Suite package).
If you got the Mercalli 4 plug-in as packaged from Magix with Vegas Pro 14, I have no idea what they include.
Do you have separate serial numbers? My Vegas Pro 13 Mercalli 4 plug-in has a different serial number than my CMOS fixr plug-in.
