Vegas Pro only renders audio, but no video when using XDCAM or HD CAM
Good evening,
I hope you can help me in this case.
When I am trying to render an XDCAM file or an HD CAM file out of Vegas Pro 13 or 14, the new files don´t have video. Sound exists, but the player remains black.I am absolutely sure that it has worked in the past, when working with files shot with Sony EX1. But also these files cannot be rendered properly today.
So where is the problem?
Am I missing some very general information about the use of these codecs in Vegas Pro?
Or is something in the system not properly working? Missing drivers, plug ins?What I see in the render preset of XDCAM is that the “include video” box is greyed. But I can´t change it.
Hope that this is not a silly problem, but does anyone has an answer to this?

the player – Windows Media Player ? Try VLC Media Player !

That option is also grayed out in my Sony Vegas Pro 13. It’s checked to include video, but grayed out as there is no option to render without video being included.
I don’t have anything specific, other than doing a reset and delete the cached application data. This often helps when strange things are happening. Also, you may want to post the Mediainfo (text mode) of your source files, along with project properties and settings within the render template.
