I think the setting you have selected are going to give you the best that is available from Vegas Pro 14. However, I do have some questions……

Can you post a screenshot of the source media specs? Use the free app Mediainfo (in text mode go > View > Text). From what camera was the source media filmed with?

I don’t think you will get any better quality using variable bit rate, setting the max and avg to the same amount and double pass, as you will by using constant bit rate, at say 20,000,000.

You probably can get better deinterlace by using the Happy Otter Scripts ‘Render+’ add-on. It is currently a free beta.

When I use the setting you have selected in (Vegas Pro 15), on .m2t HD footage, it eliminates the interlace, leaving minimal artifacts, which is acceptable to me.

Can you provide a bit more explanation as to what your workflow is?

I assume this is a game you play on your PC, correct? If so, you are using some type of screen capture application to record the game playing, is that correct?

Most of the games play at 60 fps so viewing is smoother during fast action. If your game is playing at 24 fps, it is going to appear to be jerky during fast action and there is no advantage to record at a higher frame rate.

With all that being said, I have never been one to argue with success, so if you are now getting the results you like, my questions are mute.

Most likely if you recorded this screen capture with something like ShadowPlay at 60 fps it captured it at ‘variable frame rate’. Then you most likely rendered at a ‘constant frame rate’ of 59.940 fps. If this is correct I would convert the source media file to constant frame rate 59.940 fps. You can do this with a free app likely MediaER Tool Kit, or within Vegas Pro. Then replace your original source media with this converted file, check the mask at each keyframe to assure proper alignment, then render your project out to 59.940 fps.

As Dimitrios ask is your render frame rate the same as your source?

Can you post screenshots of your Project Properties, screenshot of the render format template, and using the free app Mediainfo (in text mode) can you post a screenshot of the source media? There may be a mix match of source, properties and render.

When I ‘View Post by Topic….’ and make a reply, above the message content window is a disc icon (File Upload) that when clicked will allow you to upload a file.

I have read the OP in two different forums, both members have offered several different ways to accomplish their request, but Sacha has not replied to any…..maybe on vacation!

Hi Sascha,

There are many ways to makes this, here is one that is pretty simple, but not necessarily the easiest or best…..

Use Photoshop, PaintShopPro, Affinity Photo, or other photo art program and make a background, put that on track 1.

Use the same program to make the letters as you like, and put that on track 3.

Use Media generator to create a black and put that on track 2.

Animate track 2 with Pan&Crop or Track Motion.

It will look something like this in a simple quick raw form……

You can make it as fancy as you are creative, this is just my simple attempt.
