blur
Yesterday I dusted off the old hdr-hc9 and ran a few tapes into a time line, edited and burned to blu-ray.
All went well but when playing it back on a blu-ray player there was a blur every time there was any movement in a scene. Color and focus perfect when no movement. I used the avc with the blu-ray 1920×1080-24, 16 mbps stream template.Any thoughts or could it just be an old camera and old (7yrs) mini tapes?

What version of Vegas Pro and build number?
Can you post screenshots of your Project Properties, screenshot of the render format template, and using the free app Mediainfo (in text mode) can you post a screenshot of the source media? There may be a mix match of source, properties and render.

You may need to disable resample to avoid the motion blur.

Thank you so much for the reminder, I did indeed have the project and render properties mix matched.
Fixed, re rendered and new burn is beautiful.Ed

Hi Ed, good to hear you have it worked out. If you have the time you may want to consider a post detailing what was mixed up and how you straightened it out, so others with the same issue reading this thread will have a fix.

Really quite straight forward, When video is captured into vegas it comes in at certain properties and if you have not set these properties at the start of the make movie wizard, vegas will ask you if you want to set the properties of the project you are starting to match the properties of the video you are bringing in. Answer yes to this.
Now when you render the project select, from the drop down, the property structure that matches the project properties you dedicated to the project at the start. Now all will match and will sync properly and create a successful burn.
