Don’t forget that an accountant is going to possibly give you very different advice than an attorney, so it may be worth your time to contact both. Many lawyers will give you an initial hour consultation for free and all have different rates. Shop around for both an accountant and an attorney as both are going to be important to have on your side going forward.

Just finally got my invite today… then wave crashed. (no pun intended)
Looks cool though IF we can get any of our clients to actually move beyond the idea of the “reply all” button in email and get some useful collaboration rolling.

What worked for me was to convert all text to outlines in any Illustrator files in the comp.

That’s one of the things we were trying as well. I think there was some succes with that. We also have a theory that there may be a problem with the way the Sorenson FLV vewer is playing them back. I’ll post more if we find a fix.

Government buyers are required to get 3 quotes/bids for projects over a certain dollar amount. This definately sounds as if they have a company in mind they would like to use, but are just fulfilling their paperwork requirements. If you want to do the job, you can register with the government to bid on contracts and pursue it that way, but in most cases they want a firm/fixed price from vendors before they even have a clue as to the scope of the project. Good Luck.

If your camera is a DVCPro camera, then that setting in Final Cut should be what you will want to use. If it is not a DVCPro camera, you should use the DV NTSC setting (or PAL depending on where you live). Using the animation codec will not give you any advantage when capturing your footage, and will produce much higher file sizes. Do you have a broadcast monitor (or at the very least a TV) hooked up to your Final Cut system? Your computer monitor does not display fields and therefore gives a different view than what will be seen on a tv.

* To activate Auto-Orient, choose Orient Toward Camera.

You might also try using Effect-Time-Echo, and playing around a bit.
