We encoded a video at 480X320 using the Spark codec in Squeeze 4.3. When viewed using the Sorenson FLV Player it is squashed and the metadata tells us it is 428X320. The source file was an avid quicktime 720X486. Any thoughts as to why?

i’m trying to solve a similar problem and i’m wondering if
non-square pixel movies (ntsc originals) should be converted to square pixels for .flv web viewing ?

That’s one of the things we were trying as well. I think there was some succes with that. We also have a theory that there may be a problem with the way the Sorenson FLV vewer is playing them back. I’ll post more if we find a fix.
