It also appears the with M1 chips there is no value for an eGPU

It has little or no effect

Andree – very rude of me – thanks for hitting me up for the answer –
With the new architecture of FCPX – there is so much more background processing going on – from just importing clips to rendering – the 64bit platform gives you the ability to view things “real time” before the processing is actually complete – so it doesn’t like you to attempt to delete stuff that it is still working on – once the Background stuff had completed – I was able to delete the file that I wanted to.

I tried everything you sent me (nope it wasn’t the tab on the tape…but it could have been )

Ultimately – I set -up a new sequence – copied the footage over – and Bingo – everything worked

So thank-you for all your help and focusing on the areas that you did –

The Mac is seeing the device –

And it recognizes it for log and capture –

But when I go to Print to Video – it’s just not showing up

Have messed with the A/V tab settings – but still nothing –

Is the deck suppose to show up as an option under the output for print to tape if it is …its not
