Not bad, Chris. Just to add a detail : if you don’t need the dialog box when applying a transition, hold the shift key as you drop it in.

There isn’t a way to do this natively in Vegas, but the Fade Wizard in Excalibur applies a fade you specify to any selecetd events. For a free demo version, click below my name.

You could either apply the transition to each layer, or save the section as a .veg, then apply the transition to it when nested in a new project.

Usually this happens when the blacks or whites are beyond legal limits. First, change any black values (including shadows) from 0 to 16.

You cannot make full-color buttons appear and dissapear, but you can make the text or other shapes do that with highlight masking.

1) Getting DVD media into Vegas has been covered here many, many times.
2) In Pan/Crop right-click and choose Flip Horizontal.
