I have only used the freebies so far, but I’m trialing some plugins I’ve heard about, and I rather like the FxFactory setup. I think perhaps the “bloat” comes about if you don’t disable trials (you end up with quite a list in your NLE if you don’t), and the interface is a little sluggish in the app itself.

I tried that and it completely solved the issue. Compressor works like I would expect it to now.

I really hope they give it a 64-bit makeover along with updating the GUI. It’s in sore need of that.

I am accustomed to the way dissolves look in FCP7 and Premiere. FCPX’s dissolve do look different, and not in a good way, unlike the Slide transition which is different, but in a way I think is better.

Absolutely. Color is EOL’d and really old. DaVinci is far more current compatible. Best to move on to that, especially since Lite is very powerful and free.

And you should have room in your brain for knowing how to use both FCPX and Premiere.
