Adobe is under no obligation to anyone to keep CS6 going through two more OSX and one more Windows OS updates.

Well, yes, the photographic package is pretty much feature-complete for what the vast majority of people using it are going to actually do with it, so you need to make the subscription cheap enough to be a no-brainer.

Really? I would think you’d be hanging on every word, considering how much you wanted him to come out and give you platitudes when some of the online services went down.

Do you have footage you can link to?

Are you aware that there is only one true progressive mode on the C100? 24p. 24PF and 30PF are 60i with pulldown. If you’re not removing the pulldown, this may be responsible for the issue you are seeing. You might want to try doing a comprehensive test with the 24p setting if you haven’t been shooting primarily in that mode.

In camera, the C500 is exactly the same as the C300, meaning 720p60 is the highest fps you can record. For anything above 1080p and 60fps, you need the KiPro Quad or the Odyssey 7Q. Keep in mind that the 7Q will not give you compressed recording options at this time, with no date set on when it will be available. Meaning you get CanonRaw at the higher res/frame rates and that’s it with that unit for the time being.

Cameras are always going to be a little tricky to match up when they are not the exact same model. That said, depending on exactly why you want to pair the XA10 with a 550D might not be a quite a bad thing considering you will have two different tools for different needs.
Ultimately, how well those two cameras will match depends on your taste. I have seen a GoPro and an Epic X inter-cut and it worked fine, and I would say that picking a good profile for both and keeping the WB settings consistent will probably get you to where you’ll be happy. I would say that if you go this route, test it well before you use it in a paid setting first, and your goal should be to get it to a point where you’re not doing much, if any, post on it to get it to match utilizing the in-camera settings available to you.
