I have, and haven’t lost anything. Merged Epic 5K clips with audio, feature-length.
But this was AVCHD straight up edit, with audio recorded in clips. If it take Epic 5K to crash Premiere, and FCPX takes the whole OS down with it on AVCHD…that’s far worse, don’tya think?

Funny, I had FCPX crash on me twice today when I was trying to add a simple dissolve between two clips on a straight timeline (no FX or anything funky). The second time took OSX with it, causing a hard reset.
Yeah, Premiere crashing. That’s a good one.

Yeah, I never understood why certain people never wanted to admit that iMovie and FCPX share code. I recall some earlier posts that said they were entirely different beasts. And yet, FCPX can import iMovie projects, and now the differences between them are even more slight.
I would think Apple would eventually merge the two. Perhaps iMovie for iOS and FCPX for OSX. Makes sense, one team for one app. If you don’t want the advanced features, you never have to use them.
Of course, they would require FCPX going free or dropping heavily in price, so perhaps there will always be two different apps.

I would say it’s because you engaged me for nothing specific to any point. It was, actually, quite childish.

That is not a monopoly. That is people obstinately refusing to use anything other, even as they bash Adobe with all the hatred they can muster.
It’s a strange dichotomy, almost like those who return to Apple time and time again, paying to be beta testers and grudgingly accepting whatever they give them.
