Sorry Marcel,
not beyond the original MXO and the IoHD are your only choices for a monitoring solution to a professional device. The BMD converter mentioned functions like a 1024 or Folsum Presenter to conform display signals to video.

But IMHO if you are going to present yourself as an Editor/Producer you will need professional level monitoring to assure that the content you produce looks as good on screen as it does in your mind.

Not from a computer display, the Aja hardware tools only support SMPTE standard video frame rates and rasters.

This is totally incorrect.

Computer monitors and their DVI, DVI-D or Display Port outputs work at mhz levels and frame rasters that are NOT video and cannot be captured or played back as video

Output from a computers DVI source is NOT Video especially not on a MAC- it is an RGB image display sequence and cannot be able to be converted to a SDI Video Signal without some kind of Frame scanning capability.

Some HDMI devices allow for these non video signals to be played directly out on a display using DVI to HDMI conversion but even that needs to be handled by devices that allow for it.

this is the only tool I know that does disc by disc fingerprinting as a standalone toolset, the process you are talking about is VERY expensive. You might be better and cheaper to farm it out.

Correct.
it is “flagged” as medium quality in QT because it is horizontally compressed thin raster @ 8bits

mostly only the full raster uncompressed codecs are flagged as HQ. ( ProRes 444 is an exception)
