    Rafael,

Thank you for the answer. I’ve got some questions

“First enlarge the picture and de-interlace”. How do I do this in FCP5?

    “Then make the MPEG-2.
You can do the MPEG-2 with the MP2 Audio in Compressor.”
I have Compressor 2 and I only have DVD PCM audio settings.

this is the first time I’m usign Compressor so I’m a bit lost.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Josh,

Thank you for your reply. I don’t’ have an FTP transfer.

I wonder if you can help me a bit more. I work mainly from home, usually creating DVDs for viewings and watching them in the client computer or TV.

I had a viewing of an 58 minutes assembly last week. It took hours to export and encode.

Is it possible to create a final cut pro movie file, save it in the drive with the media, connect this drive to a computer without FCP and view it?

    Thanks again,

    Gabriela

Thank you for your reply. It seems scary thing to do but if it helps I will be very happy for you to tell me.

    Thanks,

    Gabriela

  • Many thanks. I won’t bother then.

    All the best,

    Gabriela

  • Thanks. I think using smaller media files will help the drive to be more efficient. What do you think?

Thank you very much for the answers.

Yesterday I used Mac the Ripper but I still cannot get any sound with pictures. Why is that?
I will try the other suggestions and then I’ll report back.

In response to zrb123. Yes after sending my first post I realised I could search the topic and I found a lot of info. Unfortuately because I’m new in these matters I couldn’t follow the explanations clearly so I’m glad I’m getting some feed back myself.

    All the best,

    Pepa
