  • I recently was doing an import from camera with some HDV material and after the import, FCPX was taking too long doing the “thumbnail thing”. I decided to close it. It said that some background tasks were not finished. I closed anyway and reopened. When it came back it showed the tasks “idle”.

The app is a very good piece on supporting edits. The languages it supports are very specific as they have “spanish for Latin America” and not from Spain. I wonder if they will ever support “Portuguese from Brazil” instead of Portugal, Angola, Macau and etc …. . Does anybody know it ?

It hasn’t arrived yet. I believe the black one was a mockup as Andy said and a sales person at OWC, where i’ve bought from, told me the same.
I hope it does what is says. At least the Sonnet eSata ExpressCard Adapter works great with my MacBook Pro.

Thanks for the information. I’ve already bought it, (3 more days for shipping) specially because I already have the ExpressCard 34 adapter from Sonnet to use with it. I have been using the ExpressCard 34 adapter with my MacBook Pro.

    Greetings.

Hi David, Walter and you all .
We don’t have this Thanksgiving holiday down here in Brazil but I know how important it is for you because I lived in US for a short period of 1,5 year.
So, have a nice holiday along your family, enjoy the turkey and pray for good days for your future.

    Very well said Walter.
I’m still using tapes on my camera, my computer has a DVD burner, once in a while I have to get clips from client’s VHS tapes and God, please, take me away from the bureaucratic Windows ….

  • Thanks Craig,
    For my client:
What I know is that my client will use the final movie in a DVD and in his website (compressed).
    For me:
I will need to do some composition with Motion. Since we don’t have anymore the “roundtrip” between FCPX & Motion, I’m still trying to figure it out the best workflow to insert some objects (pictures), text and clips (with alpha channel or created with masks).
In the past we could select the clip in FCP timeline and send it to motion as a background reference for the job and after that decide if we want to let FCP to render or export from Motion and put the clip over in a upper track in FCP.

    greetings ….
