It is just static – pop on/pop off. This is a broadcast element but I HATE Marquee so I’m not doing it there and the AVID title tool is so ancient that it couldn’t handle this.
So as you build your outline…are you exporting a .png of each point or one file for each section and then just animate a wipe in AVID to reveal the individual points as they are needed? Is there any sort of template to get me started in Photoshop with an outline? I have to build one every week containing anywhere from 400-800 words.
Thanks,

March 14, 2016 at 8:08 pm in reply to: Will a Project imported into another Project Update changes? That’s what I figured you were going to say. When I re-import it should the bigger project recognize it and just replace the old with the new or is that again something that I will have to do manually?
I think I know the answer but I just want to be sure that there isn’t a setting somewhere that I can change to take care of these issues.
Thanks, Fred

Unfortunately I have had to return to 2014 until the FIX comes out.
It’s not that I don’t know how the new Preview works…it’s that it doesn’t work near as well and as reliably as the 2014 version.
But, at least 2014 works…therefore…work continues.

So has this been fixed or not?
I have the latest and “greatest” version via Creative Cloud of AE and it has nothing but issues and this is one of them.
Please reply, thanks.

No idea. We were forced to seek another carrier a few weeks back and this was thrown together rather quickly. Still in conversations with them to find out the whats and whys.
I think a lot of it pertains to graphics which is why AE is a critical step for me since all my graphics come out of there.
I’ve already begun some tests but I can’t say that I am all that pleased with the look.
Thanks.

How do I change the black levels on the shadows themselves? I have levels on the text but if there is a way to adjust the levels on the shadows I am unaware of that.
Thanks.

Darn…I saw an older post that mentioned basically the same thing but I was hoping that a better solution had been created over time.
I’ll have to continue to build on my old AE 6.5 computer and just import the finished media into my AVID on my new computer until I can get that process going.
Thanks,

Not in 6.5.
Maybe I have finally found a reason to get those updates I’ve wanted for 7 years.

So, is Adobe ever going to grow up and add an auto save function to their programs? This is very disappointing that a company as widely used as this one has no feature as simple as auto save.
I knew I shouldn’t have taken that allergy medicine.
Looks like I’m out of luck.
Thanks,

I am trying to do this as well and found the same confusion as you in the description. Did you ever get this working? Can you share the light on what you did? His descriptions were great until the very end.
When he says “visibility” is he meaning opacity?
The numbers he uses for in-points and out-points makes no sense to me. Does he mean frames or seconds? Am I dragging the in-point off the timeline to left? What is the layer 1 out-point at 1:15 for? There is no in-point?
If anyone has some help here it would be greatly appreciated.
