This would be a total waste of time, your will not gain anything.
However, if you recapture the original video at 8bit or 10bit SDI uncompressed, then rebuild all of the effects and color correction you will have a better end product.

Sorry, no we do not capture from the cammera.
We only use the 1200a for capture.

For us the 24p presets work just fine, if the video was actually shot in 24p.
From what you have reported it sounds like you have the wrong sequence and capture settings.
We have issues with the 60p clips and FCP reporting them as subclips.

Since you have a KonaSD you should check the BlackMagic forum, but I believe their current drives are Tiger/QT 7.0x ready.

Actually 67 is the correct number in the US, 68 may be a UK thing.

PCI and PCI-X will not work in PCIe (PCI-Express) slots.
An upgrate to a PCIe G5 will require all new cards, KONA, ATTO etc…

You cannot monitor with the KONA-2 during FW capture.
You can monitor the SDI or Component Digital out of the 1200a while you capture via firewire.
Opinions may vary, but we take HD-SDI in from the 1200a and live down sample to DVCPRO-HD. This way we can monitor via the KONA-2.
