  • How old is this player? Can you update the firmware? There have been several revisions of the Blu Ray standard and it might be a simple update is needed. Will it play back on the drive you burned it upon? Try it on other players also.

I am terribly sorry for your problem, as it sounds suspiciously like mine, only with a slightly different error code.

I am sad to report, I cannot find a way around it and Encore CS3 is, essentially, a useless blob on my machine. Adobe has ignored my repeated requests for help and denies there is a problem, citing that the successful launch of a Project Preview PROVES that Encore functions properly, even though it takes me approximately 20 to 25 tries per project to get a good BR image from Encore.

Sorry Adobe, a simulated burn is NOT a valid BR image!

As I understand it, however, since you are on a Mac (I am on a PC) you DO have other software options available and I would urge you to turn your attention away from this travesty of a program to another that will function as advertised.

I know how hard that is, with the investment in money and time in Encore, but in the end, you’ll wind up doing that anyway because your clients or sanity (or both) will go away due to your inability to produce a valid BR Image.

    Good luck.

Now, absolutely NOTHING works on Encore for HD projects, even the insane work-arounds listed above.

All i get is “Blu-ray Error: “fatal error”, Code: “6”, Note: “Play item OUT time must be later than IN time.” message every time when I attempt to render a disc, regardless of number or length of elements.

I have just had to order a copy of Sonic DVDit Pro HD in hopes it will rescue my job and therefore my client’s account.

I honestly don’t know how Adobe gets away with selling Encore, period!

OMG! I am so FURIOUS that this is the actual solution!

What abysmal, sloppy coding on Adobe’s part!

    I could just scream!

I am sorry but after struggling with this program and the resulting insane gibberish it spits out as error codes, and its in ability to burn anything longer than 45 minutes in HD, I must say, stay away from this program!

Its cobbled junk and adobe takes no responsibility for fixing it.

I have lost a lot of money trying to deliver just what it claims is possible in all their glossy advertising and their advice is to
    “upgrade”.

    Useless software.

Yes, try it for a 4 title, 60 minute Blu-ray with animated menus.

Slow death and it usually bombs after a few hours…

Yeah, I’d say its pretty darn finicky, because it even forces a re-encode from Adobe After Effects MPEG-2 Blu-ray rendered files.

Its almost criminal in Encore’s inability to function in a straightforward, predictable manner.

Adobe should be ashamed, or sued.

Are you burning directly to the disc? If so, try burning to a .iso image and then burn this to the disc using a third party tool like Imgburn, if you are using a PC.

You can save yourself test media by downloading and using (again, PC only) a virtual drive like VirtualClone Drive: https://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html

burn the .iso and then mount it virtually to see if everything works out before you burn/waste any media.

    See if this helps.

Isn’t this wonderful? Adobe has shot themselves and US in the foot with this boneheaded move!

There is NOT A CHANCE I am going to try to explain to a client they have to revert to a prior version of adobe reader and THEN hold their hands as they do it!

COME ON ADOBE! HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FREAKING MINDS?

This is governmental in its incompetence!
